A Better Day
Yesterday was still hard but a bit better and today has been good. Ian has accepted the hosptial bed, and is slowly learning to accept Irene's help - She is our live in home care assistant and she is very patient with him but firm. A good combo. He still refuses to change his unders even when they are wet and as a result has a bright red "baboon but." Both today and yesterday he spent the majority of the day in bed dozing up for meals and then back to bed. He is barely eating or drinking much and so i think he doesn't have any energy. Ian becomes more delirious in the late afternoons and evenings and so we have started eating dinner at 5 and put him to bed at 6pm to prevent the Mr Hyde from coming out. So expect an early dinner when you come. Hopefully by the end of this week we will be in a equilibrium that works for everyone.
looking forward to everyones visits
