Summer 2012

The Kids have come and gone in the Spring to say their goodbyes.  Carolyn (MG) arrived to make sure someone from the family was here for me when Ian passed, which he did June 23rd.  He died happy and at home with a smile on his face, telling me he loved me as I said the same thing crying and thinking he was off to be the diplomat to places unknown once again.  Pam, MG and I were his ushers to the next world.  I guess it was about as good as it gets, sad as it was.

Now, six weeks later having sent 7 bags of old clothes to a homeless shelter in Victoria, given away his shoes to men with big feet, sent 2  loads of stuff to the dump and the same to recycling I am left with the memories and Ian's music and photos on an external hard drive.

Next, it is off to NYC to see what it is like to be in The City.  But before that I am taking down pix for Michael who will pain the house while I am away.

I feel like a part of me is amputated. Peace to Ian's soul (and mine).
