I walk to and from school every day and each day there is another surprise I see in the forest before I get to the road. Here are some of my favourites.

This a ficus tree I pass each day on the forest path from my house to the road |

A Blue Motmot singing on the way home one day |

One of the many sunsets from the porch of my casita |

This is on the final walkway down to my house |

Not surprisingly I am already getting nostalgic about my life here and there is still almost a week to go before I leave. I will miss this place, the three phases of the sunset each night, the forest, the birds, the people. As I get ready to head north I do look forward to being home, sleeping in my own bed and, of course, the spring garden lust is upon me. But, it this is a very special (and biologically unique) place hidden up at the end of a dirt road in the Cloud Forest. One last hike planned for Sunday after Meeting to head to the original reserve; who know what I will see.....
