I think I am in an Alternate Universe

Flying to Paro on Druk Air whose logo is a dragon and whose motto is....on the wings of a dragon....

Headlines in the English Version Newspaper the Kuensel (that the people shall be informed) include:  "The importance of Sanskrit Grammar and "critical Thinking to be tested in next exams". My favourite is the caption on a photo that states "Future parking space: When vehicles can levitate, finding space for cars will be less of a problem".

I have kept the in flight magazine because it includes th best description of GNH (Gross National Happiness) and has fantastic photos.  I've learned this morning that GNH is a development ideology which places as much emphasis on happiness (still undefined for me but I think includes psychological wellbeing) as the the economic well-being of the Bhutanese.  Seems like sharing is part of the culture and also important for GNH and is one of the nine key values, along with community vitality.  Obviously this philosophy stems from the country's Buddhist religion which I suspect is as much a way of life as a unwavering faith.

Turns out the internet is non existant or simply to slow to upload photos on the blog so I probably will write a few postsbut reserve photos for when I am back to high speed.

Snow on the mountains.  Off to the Rhodo festival today.
